For real estate agents
How real estate agents get recommended by AI assistants
More customers now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode instead of scrolling a list. You can't pay to be in those answers. You can make sure the places they read say something clear and true about you.
What customers actually ask
- "Who is a good real estate agent in Tampa?"
- "Realtor near me who works with first-time buyers"
- "Best listing agent for condos in St. Petersburg"
Ask those yourself, in a private window, in both assistants. They often name different businesses for the same question.
Where those answers come from
For real estate agents, these are the places worth checking first:
- Your Google Business Profile
- Your Zillow and Realtor.com agent profiles, with reviews and sales history
- Your brokerage's agent page
- Your own site, with the neighborhoods and kinds of buyers or sellers you work with
Assistants match agents to neighborhoods and situations. Name the areas you know and the clients you help, not just "residential real estate".
Five things to do this week
- Fill in every field on your Google Business Profile, including services and hours.
- Ask recent customers for reviews that say what you did for them, not just a star rating.
- Get listed, accurately, on the directories above.
- Put checkable facts on your site: licenses, years in business, the exact jobs you take.
- Ask the same questions again next month and see what moved.
